Katrina: No turning back in fight vs. Hayden Kho

MANILA, Philippines – Shortly after she filed her complaint against Dr. Hayden Kho, actress-model Katrina Halili on Wednesday said she would not give up her fight in bringing to justice the controversial doctor. Sen. Ramon Revilla Jr., who accompanied Halili at the National Bureau of Investigation in Manila, quoted Halili as saying that she had prepared herself for the tough battle against the man who videotaped them while they were engaged in sexual acts. "Sabi ko sa kaniya (Halili), ikaw ba ay handang harapin ang pagsubok? ‘Pag ika’y sumailalim dito, mabigat ito. Ang sabi niya, ‘Handa po ako’ [I asked her if she is prepared to undergo this challenge, and she said yes]," Revilla said in an interview on dzBB radio. Revilla had blasted Kho for filming sexual acts with various women, including Halili, without their consent and knowledge that they were being filmed. The videos subsequently spread like wildfire in cyberspace. In Wednesday’s interview, Revilla asked Kho’s "other victims" to take action against him. "Sana ay lumabas na sila para ma-vindicate sa ginawa (ng) taong ito, nang maikulong na ito dahil kawawa ‘yong mga babaeng ‘di inirespeto [I am calling on the other victims of Dr. Hayden Kho to speak up, so that they would be vindicated over what Kho did to them. Kho should be jailed for his disrespect for women.]," he said. The senator said that Kho could be charged for violation of Republic Act No. 9262, otherwise known as the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004. Kho’s camp had since denied circulating the videos on the Internet. "The video or videos that came out are nothing new. Those were taped more than a year ago and Hayden already confessed everything to me. He is sorry for what he has done and is trying to make things right," said Dra. Vicki Belo in statement read on StarTalk’s episode last Saturday. "He was not the one who released these videos. He doesn’t even have a copy," she added. Belo is Kho’s former girlfriend but talks are rife that the couple had already reunited. - GMANews.TV
