Porn DVD vendors cash in on ‘Hayden video’ scandal

MANILA, Philippines - Cashing in on the scandal, porn film vendors have started selling digital versatile discs (DVD) featuring the “Hayden cam" video of celebrity doctor Hayden Kho. Radio dzBB’s Louie Garcia reported Thursday that some vendors even featured the images of Kho or actress-model Katrina Irene Pe Halili on the cover to lure people to buy. The report said the vendors would sell the videos on DVDs for P10 each, or package the video with “bonus Triple-X" videos for P40 to P60 per disc. But vendors admitted some buyers would angrily return the discs after finding out that the DVD they had bought did not contain the promised videos. Despite this, some of the vendors promised to come up with updated discs that contain sex videos of Kho with his “other" partners, including the one with a minor. On the other hand, the report said vendors of child porn discs have also become more active, approaching passersby and whispering if they want “bold movies." They would then drag the passerby to stalls in Arlegui Street where vendors sold discs featuring child porn. The scandal over Kho’s videos became full-blown Tuesday after Sen. Ramon Revilla Jr. delivered a privilege speech denouncing the controversial doctor for supposedly uploading the sex videos on the Internet. Halili went to the Senate Wednesday to seek Revilla’s assistance in filing a complaint against Kho before the National Bureau of Investigation. Meanwhile, in Cebu, dzBB’s Cebu affiliate reported a rise in demand for the video scandal discs, with vendors promising the discs were to arrive Thursday. The report said those in Cebu seeking the discs included local police and soldiers. - GMANews.TV
