Police seize DVDs of Katrina-Hayden sex video in Quiapo raid

MANILA, Philippines — Authorities seized about 20,000 pornographic digital versatile discs (DVDs) in a raid in Manila’s Quaipo district Thursday morning. Among the confiscated obscene materials was the controversial Katrina Halili-Hayden Kho sex video, which is also posted in various Internet sites, said GMA News’ Mariz Umali in a report aired over QTV’s Balitanghali. The raid was done a day after Halili lodged a complaint before the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) against Kho, who reportedly filmed their intimate tryst without her knowledge. Despite the video’s availability on the Web, the price of DVD containing the Halili-Kho film has soared as Internet users are having hard time downloading it, the report said. Umali said the price now ranges from P150 to P200 for each disc. During the raid, Manila Police Station 3 commander Supt. Romy Sapitula admitted there are no specific laws against people who are spreading sex videos through the Internet and cellular phones. On that note, Sapitula called on the public not to patronize such pornographic materials. - Aie Balagtas See, GMANews.TV
