NBI: Hayden not yet off the hook despite apology

MANILA, Philippines - Despite his apology and claim that the videos of his sexual trysts with various women including actress Katrina Halili were uploaded without his consent, Dr. Hayden Kho is not yet of the hook in the investigation being conducted by government agents. The investigation aims to unmask the person or persons behind the spread of the sex videos on the Internet, said Palmer Mallari, executive officer of the National Bureau of Investigation’s Anti-Fraud and Computer Crimes Division. “What is material here is who is/are responsible behind the initial upload. Doctor Kho had denied any knowledge and involvement in the upload. Well we will still know if he was responsible or not," Mallari said Sunday. The official said the NBI crime computer experts have expertise and gadgets to trace the computer used in the initial upload. Many Web sites that had offered the Hayden-Katrina sex video for business have been closed down by the NBI, but Mallari said they can still trace the computer that was used in the initial upload. “Even though they [Web sites] are already closed, the NBI has the capabilities to still trace and the computer used in the initial upload, second upload etc," he said. The NBI had earlier subpoenaed Kho and his friend, a certain Ric Johnston Chua, with regards to complaint filed by Halili against Kho. Kho’s lawyers appeared before the NBI office in Manila last Friday. NBI assistant regional cirector Vicente de Guzman III, chief of the Anti-Fraud and Computer Crimes Division, said Chua is expected to appear on Monday. - GMANews.TV
