Lawyer bares P4-million blackmail try on Kho

MANILA, Philippines – Somebody tried to blackmail Dr. Hayden Kho and asked for P4 miillion so that his sex video with Katrina Halili would not be publicized. This was revealed on Sunday by Adel Tamano, lawyer of Dr. Vicki Bello, who was still Kho's girlfriend when the he allegedly made the video two years ago. Tamano made the revelation to answer a question made by TV host DJ Moe in a live interview aired over "Showbiz Central." DJ Moe asked him if there had been an attempt to bribe Belo, to which Tamano replied: "Actually, the blackmail attempt involves corporate coercion. They attempted to extort siguro mga [maybe around] four million pesos – not from Dr. Belo but from Dr. Kho." Kho refused to pay up, Tamano said, because he could not really be sure if copies of the video would in fact be destroyed. The blackmailer might ask for more money. Tamano, however, declined to give further details on the blackmail attempt, saying that they were still preparing an affidavit on the matter to be filed on Wednesday with the National Bureau of Investigation. Halili is pursuing a case of psychological violence under the Women and Children’s Welfare Act against Kho. The cosmetic surgeon is also facing a probe at the Philippine Medical Association for possible revocation of his license for unethical behavior. The so-called 'Hayden cam' scandal started with the spread of sex videos featuring Kho and Halili, both of whon admitted they were the people in the videos. Kho admitted taking the videos, but Halili denied being aware they were being filmed. Kho also denied having a hand in uploading the videos on the Internet. - GMANews.TV
