Pinoy family quarantined for A(H1N1) in Macau discharged

MANILA, Philippines — A Filipino family quarantined last week in Macau as a precaution against A(H1N1) has been discharged, the Department of Foreign Affairs said. The DFA, in its update, said the Macau Health Bureau informed the Philippine post there that the family had completed the seven-day quarantine period. "Post was informed by the Macau Health Bureau that the Filipino couple with their three children who were quarantined for suspected A(H1N1) influenza tested negative of the virus and were discharged following the completion of the seven-day quarantine period given to them," it said on its website (www.dfa.gov.ph). It did not divulge the identities of the family members who were quarantined. Last week, the DFA said a Filipino couple and their three children were quarantined in Macau after getting in contact with a confirmed A(H1N1) patient. The DFA said that while the five tested negative, they would still be quarantined seven days. It said the Philippine Consulate was able to contact this Filipino family over the phone to check on their health condition and also contacted their immediate relatives in the Philippines. - GMANews.TV
