Saudi MOH in need of 240 Filipino workers


MANILA, Philippines - The Saudi Ministry of Health is in need of a total of 240 Filipino workers for its Hospital Operation Program at the King Fahad Medical City, the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration said Wednesday. The POEA said that 150 female nurses are needed to fill in the positions of head nurses, charge nurses, and staff nurses. Applicants for the nursing posts must be a nursing graduate and must have a nursing license and work experience of nine years for head nurse, seven years for charge nurse, five years for staff nurse 1, and three years for staff nurse 2. Only those below 45 years old may apply. Another 60 workers, on the other hand, are needed to fill in vacancies for respiratory technicians and respiratory assistants. Applicants must be a BS graduate or have a two-year certificate in respiratory therapy, and two to eight years work experience, preferably in critical care. Only licensed workers and not more than 50 years old may apply. The Ministry of Health is also in need of 30 female medical secretaries. Required for the position are a BS in secretarial or administration, at least four years work experience (three of which are in a medical institution), knowledgeable in Microsoft Office applications, typing skills of 40 words per minute, and fluency in the English language. The benefits for all the positions, the POEA said, would be 35 days of paid vacation yearly, a free round trip economy ticket, housing and transportation allowance equivalent to two months salary, and a yearly renewal of contract. Qualified applicants may personally submit a detailed resumé with job description, school credentials, employment certificates, passport copy and two pieces 2X2 recent picture at the Manpower Registry Division, Window I, Ground Floor, Blas F. Ople Building (Formerly POEA Bldg.), Ortigas Avenue corner EDSA, Mandaluyong City. They may also register online at the POEA website or at www.eregister.poea.gov.ph.
