Hayden says ‘deviant’ behavior might be connected to his childhood

MANILA, Philippines – Hayden Kho Jr. already said he was to blame for covertly filming his sexual encounters with women. The controversial doctor said he did not upload the video on the Web, and that someone was out to destroy his reputation by leaking those ‘stolen’ videos. But one of the last basic questions that remain unanswered is, “Why did he have the habit of recording his sex acts?" Unfortunately, the controversial doctor has no answer to this question. He said he has been consulting with a psychologist since last year just to get the answers to this question. “Honestly hindi ko po ma-explain kung bakit po. Hindi ko po alam kung bakit ko ito ginagawa [Honestly, I cannot explain why I do it. I don’t know why I am doing it]," said Kho in a radio interview Wednesday. “This is a matter na every time I talk with my psychologist since December, [my psychologist explains]... this might be connected to my childhood or to some point in my life," he said. In only a matter of days, Kho’s image turned from a hunky crooning celebrity doctor to a controversial man who has the habit of documenting his sexual trysts in past relationships, including that with sexy actress Katrina Halili. Lawmakers and women’s group alike immediately frowned at Kho’s covert video-taking acts, adding that he should be sanctioned for filming intimate moments with a partner without the latter’s consent. In the radio interview, Kho admitted that there were instances that his partners had no knowledge they were being videotaped. But the celebrity doctor was quick to add, “May mga videos na alam po ng babae. May videos din na hindi alam ng babae [There are times that my partner knows she is being videotaped and there are times they don’t know]." It will be remembered that Hayden’s camp had earlier belied reports that the doctor was in possession of around 40 other private sex videos. But Belo’s lawyer, Adel Tamano, on Wednesday confirmed the reports saying Kho had more than just three sex videos. Months before the sex scandal erupted, Kho virtually denied having any sex videos with women when he said, “God bless your souls." No need for permission Hayden said there were instances when he didn’t have to seek his partner’s approval to videotape the sexual acts because the camera was in plain sight. “May times na habang nag-rerecord ako... I didn’t have to tell them nagre-record ako kasi nasa harapan nila yung camera [There are times I did not have to tell them because the camera is right in front of them]." Halili claims that in the footage in which she was seen making love with the doctor, she was not aware it was being filmed. Meanwhile, in Kho’s footage with a Brazilian model and an actress-commercial model, the camera seemed to be hidden behind a door. “Aminado po ako dun at maling-mali po siya [I admit that it was a very wrong thing to do]. It was a socially deviant act," Kho said. The effect of the scandal had already trickled down to Kho’s close friends and relatives. Kho’s two friends are already being invited by the National Bureau of Investigation for suspicion they have something to do with the dissemination of the sex videos. Even the celebrity doctor’s mother, Irene Kho, have stepped into the picture. In an attempt to defend his son, Irene blamed Halili for “introducing" her son to illegal drugs – a claim belied by the sexy actress’s camp. “It’s surreal na parang hindi ko po ma-imagine na na-blown out of proportion. For one person to experience this, nakaka-stress. This is unbelievable. I guess kailangan natin harapin ito," Kho said. “Pero sana hindi nadadamay ang family ko. May kasalanan naman ako pero kapag nadadamay na ang family medyo dun po ako nanghina. Iyong spirit ko medyo bumibigay po," he added. - GMANews.TV
