'Hayden cam' case: Kho made me believe he loved me, says Halili

MANILA, Philippines – Katrina Halili said Dr. Hayden Kho tricked her into believing that he loved her – and that she even introduced him to her family. Under questioning by Sen. Jinggoy Estrada, Halili said: "Inuto niya ako na matagal na niya akong gusto [He tricked me into believing that he had long wanted me.]" She denied Kho's statement that it was she who urged him to take MDMA, methylenedioxymethamphetamine – better known as Ectasy. She denied ever taking illegal drugs. Earlier on Thursday, Kho testified before the Senate that Halili offered him drugs during their first affair. Kho told Estrada that it was Halili who told him to take drugs before they slept together at the Holiday Inn in 2007. "She asked me to take drugs. I told her just one, but she insisted that I take two, since it won't have that much effect," Kho said in Filipino. "Every time we see each other there was no conversation. It was all drugs and sex," Kho added. Halili denied the accusation and stressed that she never took drugs. She said Kho pursued her and even kept a "jologs" (cheap) celebrity notebook that had her picture on it. "Hindi po totoo...Binola po niya ako. Matagal na daw po niya akong crush [It's not true....He fooled me. He told me I was his long-time crush]," said Halili. In her opening statement before the Senate inquiry, Halili said she is the real victim of the sex video scandal and vowed to fight to regain her dignity. "Minahal ko po si Hayden [I loved Hayden]" an emotional Halili said in the Senate commitee hearing on Thursday. "Bata po ako kaya madaling nalagyan ng piring ang aking mga mata [I was young so I was easily blinded]." Halili said she was not aware that the doctor she fell in love with was also a director of pornography collected from various women he had slept with. "Ako po ang biktima dito ako ang biktima rito habang araw araw na pinapanuod ang video. Inabuso na nga ako sa sex video inaabuso pa ako sa publiko [ I am the victim here while our video is being viewed on a daily basis. I was abused in the video and I am still abused in the public]," Halili said. "Sa kultura natin habambuhay na latay ang ginawa sa akin [In our culture, I am forever scarred in this incident]," she added. The Senate investigation stemmed from the privilege speech of Senator Ramon Revilla Jr entitled "A Doctor’s Perversity" where he scored Kho for allegedly recording his sexual activities with his girlfriends without their consent and posting the videos on the Internet. This is the first time Halili and Kho would face each other since their infamous sex video hit the Internet and spread to DVD pirates in Quiapo, Manila. - with Joseph Holandes Ubalde, GMANews.TV
