'Hayden cam' case: Katrina urged to take drug test using hair not blood samples

MANILA, Philippines - While sexy actress Katrina Halili denied taking any illegal drugs, her former lover Dr. Hayden Kho Jr. challenged her to submit hair samples instead of blood in a drug test. Kho told senators before a committee hearing on Thursday that drugs cannot be traced in a person's bloodstream eight days after it is taken. However, it can still be traced "for years to come" on a person's hair, Kho asserted. But Kho said the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), the government's lead group administering drug tests, does not have the equipment to analyze hair samples and test it for drugs. A PDEA representative present in the hearing affirmed Kho's statement. "I challenge Ms. Halili to take the drug test using her hair," Kho said. Earlier, Kho said Halili offered him drugs during their first affair. Shortly after being introduced to drugs in December 2007, Kho began purchasing his own since March 2008. "She asked me to take drugs. I told her just one, but she insisted that I take two, since it won't have that much effect," Kho said in Filipino. "Every time we see each other there was no conversation. It was all drugs and sex," Kho added. Halili denied the accusation and stressed that she never took drugs. She said Kho pursued her and even kept a "jologs" (cheap) celebrity notebook that had her picture on it. "Hindi po totoo...Binola po niya ako. Matagal na daw po niya akong crush [It's not true....He fooled me. He told me I was his long-time crush]," said Halili. - Joseph Holandes Ubalde, GMANews.TV
