Magnitude-5.7 quake rocks parts of Mindanao


MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude-5.7 quake rocked parts of Mindanao before dawn Saturday but no casualty or damage was initially reported. The United States Geological Service (USGS) said the quake was recorded at 3:51 a.m., with the epicenter traced to 70 km east-southeast of General Santos City. It said the epicenter was also 130 km south of Davao; 1,095 km south-southeast of Manila; or 2,505 km east-northeast of Jakarta, Indonesia. Government-run dzRB radio said aftershocks may be expected in the next 12 hours. - GMANews.TV
