LPG prices rise anew by P1.40 per kilo


MANILA, Philippines - Petron, Shell and Total raised prices of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) or cooking gas have raised their prices by P1.40 per kilo or P15.40 per 11-kilo LPG tank as international contract prices have gone up this month. As of Tuesday, an LPG 11-kg cylinder was sold at P469 to P567. The international contract price of LPG hit $528 per metric ton in July, higher than $437 in June. The LPG Marketers Association has warned an LPG price hike of P5 per kilo this month. The increase does not only affect households but also the transport sector, which uses LPG as fuel to their vehicles. -GMANews.TV
