Anong say mo sa Overseas Absentee Voting?

Tinatayang aabot sa 10 milyon ang mga Filipinong nasa ibang bansa upang maghanap ng mas magandang buhay para sa kanilang pamilyang naiwan sa Pilipinas.

Ngunit malayo man sa bansa na kanilang sinilangan, hindi nangangahulugan na wala na silang karapatan upang makibahagi sa pagpili ng mga susunod na lider sa Pinas. Sa ilalim ng Overseas Absentee Voting Act, ang mga Pinoy sa abroad at pinapayagang bumoto at pumili ng kandidato sa pagka-presidente, bise presidente at party list representatives.

Ang OAV ay nilikha ng Kongreso upang sundin ang itinatakda sa Saligang Batas na hindi dapat pagkaitan ng karapatan ang bawat kuwalipikadong Filipino na pumili ng lider – saan man dako siya ng mundo nandoon.

Ngunit bago makaboto, may mga proseso na kailangang gawin ang mga OFW at mga Pinoy immigrants upang makapagpatala sila sa sistema ng OAV. Sa puntong ito, nais naming malaman ang kwento nyo…ang inyong mga karanasan sa pagpaparehistro. Halimbawa:

- Nagkaroon ba nang sapat na impormasyon sa bansa na inyong kinaroroonan ang embahada, konsulado o iba pang sangay ng Pilipinas para mabigyan kayo ng kaalaman tungkol sa inyong karapatan na bumoto sa ilalim ng OAV?

- Naasikaso ba kayo ng mabuti o baka naman pinaikot-ikot lang ng mga nakatalaga sa embahada, konsulado o iba pang sangay ng Pilipinas sa bansa na inyong kinaroroonan habang nagpaparehistro para kayo ay maging overseas absentee voters?

- Ano ang inyong suwestiyon o pananaw para higit na maging matagumpay ang program sa OAV. Ito ba'y pag-aaksaya lang ng panahon ng mga kababayan natin sa abroad?
