Globe Telecom taps another credit facility

Globe Telecom Inc., the country's second-largest mobile phone company, has tapped another credit facility to fund its capital expenditures.

Globe told the Philippine Stock Exchange that it signed $75-million credit facility on July 31, 2009 arranged by Citibank N.A. and two other financial institutions from Germany and the Netherlands.

Globe has earlier issued fixed three-year and five-year bonds.

The telecommunications company was able to raise P13 billion since early this year.

On Monday, Globe jumped 4.7619 percent to P1,100. - GMANews.TV
