Arroyo visits Pampanga again, her 21st in 6 months

A day after returning from a visit to the United States, President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo went to visit her home province of Pampanga. It was her 21st visit to her province in six months, feeding suspicion that she is building a constituency for a possible congressional bid after she steps down from office next year. The Office of the President said Mrs. Arroyo distributed lot certificates to 40 individuals in 12 villages in Pampanga’s Sasmuan town, which is part of the province's second district that Rep. Juan Miguel “Mikey" Arroyo represents. Arroyo stayed in the province from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to dzBB’s Eileen Intia who covered the event. After her trip to the US, Mrs. Arroyo rushed to the Manila Cathedral to attend the wake of President Corazon Aquino. She stayed at the cathedral for seven minutes. - GMANews.TV
