Bongbong Marcos for VP stickers distributed in Senate

Stickers disclosing Ilocos Norte Rep. Ferdinand “Bongbong" Marcos Jr's alleged intention to run in next year's elections as Senator Manny Villar's running mate were distributed to the members of the Senate media Tuesday afternoon. The stickers bearing the words “Manny Villar for President, Bongbong Marcos Vice President" were enclosed in an envelope with a return address at “Nacionalista Party, 2nd Level Starmall, EDSA corner Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City." Villar, NP president, denied printing and distributing the stickers. “Wala pa naman kaming desisyon sa mga bagay na ito. Although, si Bongbong naman ay isang magaling na kandidato pero to be fair, he has not indicated na he would be interested in this. Kaya hindi sa amin ito," he said. (We haven't decided on this yet. Although Bongbong would be a good candidate, he has not indicated that he would be interested in this. So these stickers are not ours.) Bongbong Marcos is the son of the late former President Ferdinand Marcos, who ruled the country for more than 20 years. He added that his political party is yet to finalize its slate for the May 2010 national elections. Asked if he would consider Bongbong Marcos as his running mate, Villar said he is considering everybody. “Hindi pa siya nagsasabi sa akin (He hasn't told me anything), to be fair. Palagay ko meron siyang ibang interest na posisyon (I think he's interested in other posts). I think he would be a good senator for example," Villar said. The senator was clueless on the identify and purpose of the person who printed and distributed the stickers. Villar said he is yet to talk with anyone for a possible tandem because he is not sure who among the aspirants would really run. “Alam naman natin na maraming tumatakbong president na maaring in the end ay maging vice president. Yung iba nga baka maging senador. Until such time na maliwanag na iyong mga posisyon, hindi natin malalaman talaga kung ano ang ating magiging slate," he said. (There are those who aspire the presidency but end up running for vice president or even senator. Until such time that these things are clear, we will not know what our slate will be.) - GMANews.TV
