Perpetual Help eyes top spot in NCAA men, women's volleyball

University of Perpetual Help System-Dalta eyes the solo lead in the men and and women’s divisions as the Altas and their female counterparts aim for their respective third wins when they face guest school Arellano University in the 85th NCAA volleyball tournament at the Emilio Aguinaldo College gym.

Perpetual’s men and women’s teams along with their junior squad, who also won their first assignment, are all favored to prevail over their Arellano counterparts in their respective duels.

Last year’s runner-up College of St. Benilde hopes to follow up its win over Letran when it faces Jose Rizal University in the 8 a.m. opening match in the women’s division.

Returning Mapua and San Beda hopes to barge into the win column in the second women’s match while JRU battles San Beda in the 10am men’s game.

Angeles University Foundation swept EAC in last Tuesday’s games with the Junior Danes scoring a 25-13, 25-17, 25-19 win over the Brigadiers while the Lady Danes crushed the Lady Generals, 25-8, 25-16, 25-16.

The Great Danes defeated the Generals. 25-19, 25-19, 26-24, for their first win and complete the sweep. – GMANews.TV
