PHOENIX — An Arizona man was arrested after authorities say they watched a video of him apparently trying to feed a kitten to a python and later killing the feline by drop-kicking it.
Sheriff's deputies arrested 28-year-old Jeremy Tuffly at his home in Mesa on Monday on suspicion of felony animal cruelty. Tuffly, who has since been released from custody, has an unlisted phone number.
His arrest came after deputies received a DVD of the incident from an unnamed person who knew about it.
The video shows a man the sheriff's office identifies as Tuffly smiling while repeatedly and roughly throwing the kitten at a python in a backyard. Later, the man picks up the live kitten from the ground and drop-kicking it.
