Security tightened for Pacquiao practice in Baguio gym

Police tightened security at a gymnasium in Baguio City where Filipino boxing champ Emmanuel "Manny" Pacquiao will train in preparation for his bout with Miguel Cotto this November. Radio dzRH reported that city police have secured the gym at Teachers' Camp so that Pacquiao will not be distracted by people who want to watch him train. Baguio City Mayor Reinaldo Bautista Jr. appealed to city residents to cooperate with the security measures so Pacquiao can concentrate on his training. Pacquiao is due to face Cotto on November 14 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. His last ring victory was on May 3, when he knocked out Ricky Hatton. Cotto, a native of Puerto Rico, is the present World Boxing Organization welterweight champion. Earlier Pacquaio assured his supporters that he would be 100-percent prepared for his November fight, amid concerns that he is not taking his training seriously. - GMANews.TV
