Porn links hit Comelec blog site

The Commission on Elections’ blog site was turned into a malware threat over the weekend after a user on its comments page inserted several links supposedly leading to porn sites. While these appeared only Sunday afternoon, the time stamp on the links posted by one "toinsrillnone" were dated 8:38 p.m. Thursday. Several of the links offered to show visitors sites featuring nude female celebrities such as Toni Braxton, Zoe Kravitz, Gina Gershon and Abbie Cornish. However, the sites would link to a page hosted by www.ibibo.com. Clicking on the "media player" would in turn take the user to a page hosted by top-celebrities.net or justetubes.com. Once there, the user would see a media player, which will download an executable file from http://streamingplugin.net.

The "Fighting Malware" site said its database had matches of malware on the top-celebrities.net and streamingplugin.net domains. It said streamingplugin.net has been known to host a "Trojan virus." "All domains/IPs listed on this Web site should be treated with extreme caution. Some of them will automatically infect your computer," it said. - GMANews.TV
