State of Calamity: Government Funds and Programs?
Report by Jiggy Manicad

The Philippines remains in a state of calamity as declared by President Arroyo, due to typhoon Ondoy – the worst storm to hit Metro Manila in forty years. In a flash, Ondoy killed hundreds and destroyed millions of pesos in properties and businesses. Many victims are still missing while evacuation centers are weighed down with problems such as lack of food, water, medicines and other basic necessities. Until now, parts of the Metro remain flooded. Whatever happened to the flood control and calamity funds of the government?

State of Calamity: Pondo at Proyekto ng Gobyerno?
