President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo will visit her home province of Pampanga anew Friday - her third visit in a week - this time to conduct a climate change meeting and hold a "Common Tao" day in the province's second district.
President Arroyo's visits to Pampanga have been fueling speculations that she will run for congresswoman in the province's second district in 2010. The district is currently represented by her son, Juan Miguel "Mikey" Arroyo, at the House of Representatives.
Administration allies in Congress have been pushing for a shift to a parliamentary form of government, under which President Arroyo, a native of Lubao town, can run for prime minister.
The President had visited the province Monday and Wednesday this week.
On Friday, President Arroyo is scheduled to visit Floridablanca town in the province's second district where she is rumored to plan to run for congresswoman. Malacañang said she would hold her weekly "Common Tao Day" which she vowed to hold every Friday.
She is expected to head for Pampanga after signing the law on climate change.
She is also expected to visit Paaralang Elementarya ng Paguiruan in Floridablanca East District, where she will inspect the school's proposed fencing project, and Barangay Fortuna, where she will inspect a road improvement project.
Her final stop is at the municipal gym covered court for the Common Tao Caravan of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO). - GMANews.TV
