Bongbong pinayuhan si Erap na tapatan ang ‘star’ power ni Noynoy

MANILA – Bagaman lumulutang na kasama sa senatorial slate ng Nacionalista Party ni Sen Manny Villar, inamin ni Ilocos Norte Rep. Ferdinand “Bongbong" Marcos na magiging guest candidate siya ng grupo ni dating pangulong Joseph Estrada.

Sa text message nitong Martes, kinumpirma ni Marcos na kasama siya sa susuportahan ng United Opposition (UNO) na pamumunuan ni Estrada kung saan magiging running mate nito si Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay.

Sa isang pahayag noong nakaraang linggo, sinabing kasama si Marcos ni Villar sa Cavite nang isagawa ang koalisyon ng NP sa Partido Magdalo, ang pinakamatandang lokal na partido sa lalawigan bilang paghahanda sa 2010 elections.

Ngunit bukod sa alyansa ng mga partido, aminado si Marcos na mahalaga ang suporta ng mga artista sa kampanya dahil sila ang nagsisilbing magneto upang makatawag ng atensiyon sa mga tao para dumalo sa mga political rally.

Sa kanyang pahayag nitong Martes, pinayuhan ni Marcos si Estrada na gamitin ang impluwensiya sa showbiz industry para tapatan kundi man mahigitan ang ginagawa ng kampo ni Sen Benigno “Noynoy" Aquino III, sa pagkuha ng suporta sa mga artista.

Kung nais ni Estrada na makabalik sa Malacanang, sinabi ni Marcos na dapat simulan ng dating pangulo na ipakita sa publiko na suportado pa rin siya ng industriya na kanyang kinabilangan.

“Erap should start securing the support of his showbiz friends. Even if we say that voters are intelligent nowadays, showbiz personalities still have use for the candidates," ayon sa kongresista ng Ilocos Norte.

Ilang malalaking artista – kabilang sina Sharon Cuneta, Dingdong Dantes, Marian Rivera, Ogie Alcasid at Regine Velasquez – ang lumabas sa political ads para kay Noynoy, pambato ng Liberal Party (LP) sa presidential elections.

Nang tumakbong pangulong noong 1998 elections, ilan sa mga artista na kasama sa kampanya ni Estrada ang pumanaw nitong kaibigan na si Fernando Poe Jr, at Ruby Fernandez.

Sakabila nito, naniniwala si Marcos na malaki pa rin ang impluwensiya ni Estrada entertainment industry, at maraming artista ang handang magbigay ng suporta sa kandidatura ng pinatalsik na lider. - GMANews.TV
