The Parañaque police have already identified two of the four suspects involved in the daring morning heist last All Saint's Day that wounded a Filipino-Chinese couple and a companion.
Parañaque police Chief Superintendent Alfredo Valdez on Wednesday said the suspects were identified through their modus operandi and from the place where they left the passports of two of the victims, Jocelyn Chua and Carmelita Cho.
Valdez declined to give the names of the suspects to avoid jeopardizing their ongoing operations.
Chua, Cho and her husband Ruben were wounded when the suspects, on board motorcycles, fired at their van before taking their belongings. The victims just came from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) when the robbery occurred.
The three are now in stable condition, Valdez said.
The heist was done despite the declaration of full alert - the highest level of alert by the police - in Metro Manila in connection with the All Souls' Day weekend.
Chief Superintendent Jaime Calungsod, chief of the Southern Police District, said he would seek explanation from the Police Community Precinct in charge of the area on how the robbery was carried out despite the heightened alert status.
He said there is no need to relieve Valdez from his post. - Aie Balagtas See, GMANews.TV
