iGMA: StarStruck V aspirants to be revealed on Saturday

After several months of action-packed worldwide auditions, StarStruck V will announce this Saturday (Nov. 21) the "Top 30" astista aspirants who will get a chance to be part of the season’s prized "Final 14."

The levels of pressure are incredibly soaring as this new bunch of hopefuls is off and running to compete in the biggest season of GMA's No. 1 original reality-based artista search. The Top 30 hopefuls would still have to endure another round of eliminations before finally narrowing down the list with the Final 14.

StarStruck V is hosted by a fresh combination of Kapuso stars including one of GMA's most desired and eligible leading men Dennis Trillo, ravishing newcomer Carla Abellana and StarStruck’s maverick host since The Nationwide Invasion Raymond Gutierrez.

Dennis and Carla will host the live Sunday episodes while Raymond takes over all Saturday episodes together with four Starstruck alumni--Mark Herras, LJ Reyes, Arci Muñoz and Paulo Avelino-- who rotate as segment hosts.

This season's high-profile and formidable StarStruck Council is composed of TV director Floy Quintos, versatile actress Iza Calzado and talent manager and star maker Lolit Solis. The hopefuls will try to outdo each other in painstaking tests sub-divided into four major performance categories: Singing, dancing, acting, and Imaging.

The Final 14 goes through grueling talent tests, workshops, and trainings under the supervision of five StarStruck mentors who ensure that they would utilize their entire potential in every performance.

This season's highly-respected mentors are Gina Alajar for acting, Douglas Nierras for dancing, Jai Sabas-Aracama for singing, Abbygale Arenas-de Leon for imaging and Barbi Chan for make-up.

And to provide updates on the artista hopefuls as the show progresses, Shout Out: The Starstruck Dailies will air starting November 23 to give viewers behind the scenes footage and highlights including the drama and struggles in the life of each aspirant and the real issues they encounter as they take their dreams to the StarStruck stage.

StarStruck V airs every Saturday after Pinoy Records and Sunday after Kap's Amazing Stories; with Shout Out: The Starstruck Dailies airing 15 minutes Monday to Friday before Family Feud starting November 23 only on GMA 7. – iGMA, GMA Network.
