4 killed in South Cotabato clash

At least four members of a local armed group were killed in an encounter with soldiers in Surallah town in South Cotabato late Saturday.
Radio dzBB's Allan Gatus reported Sunday that the encounter between the Army's 27th Infantry Battalion and the "Sipot Gang" took place in Upper Sepaka village in Surallah.
Three of the fatalities were initially identified as Tata Kungan, "White," and "Tagunoy." "White" is believed to be the son of Kumander Jojo, the leader of the gang.
Lt. Col. Joshua Santiago, commander of the 27th Infantry Battalion, said they were conducting a pursuit operation when they encountered the armed men.
Santiago said no one among his men were injured.- GMANews.TV
