Children's playground invaded by adults

Episode on November 28, 2009
Saturday, 9:30 p.m.

There is a children’s playground in Quezon City that men couldn’t seem to ignore. During weekends, they are regular patrons of the playground. Are they there for the facilities like basketball court, swing, and slide? Mike Enriquez finds out what these men are after.

For some months, Imbestigador’s camera focused on the activities inside the playground. Mike Enriquez and his team discover that children are off limits in the playground on weekends because the place is converted into an illegal gambling den, the highlight of their activities is a “tupada" or illegal cockfighting!

Imbestigador finds out that these activities have the ‘blessing" of barangay officials. A moblie patrol car was also seen in the area during weekends. After the typhoon Ondoy hit Metro Manila, the illegal activities in the playground stopped. But weeks later, Imbestigador discovers that the “tupada" merely transferred to a different location.

Don’t miss how Mike Enriquez and his Imbestigador team resolve this and other problems. Tune in to Imbestigador this Saturday night after Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho on GMA.
