Ebarle slay suspect hiding in Metro Manila - police

Law enforcers on Thursday said Jason Ivler, the prime suspect in the killing of a Malacañang official's son, has been hiding in Metro Manila and is being coddled by known personalities. Radio dzBB's Denver Trinidad quoted Quezon City Police District Chief Supt. Elmo San Diego as saying that police forces already have an idea of Ivler's whereabouts and are close to arrest him. San Diego also said the QCPD had received reports that Ivler is currently hiding in houses of known personalities in Metro Manila. He, however, did not name these personalities. Ivler, a US citizen in his late 20s, is currently the subject of a nationwide manhunt for his suspected involvement in the killing of Renato Victor Ebarle Jr., 27, son of presidential chief of staff Undersecretary Renato Ebarle Sr. The young Ebarle was shot dead following a traffic altercation on Boni Serrano Avenue in Quezon City last November 18. Police said Ivler was also involved in a car accident five years ago which resulted in the death of another Malacañang official, Undersecretary Nestor Ponce. - Andreo Calonzo/KBK, GMANews.TV
