Car burglars take Bible in Pasay City heist

Indeed, nothing is sacred these days: Car burglars made off with a Bible when they pulled off their latest heist at a commercial establishment in Pasay City Wednesday.
Radio dzBB's Manny Vargas reported the Good Book was among the valuables taken by members of the "Basag Kotse" gang when they broke into a red Toyota Innova (VCY-960).
Ma. Encarnacion Morado told police the gang smashed the windows of her Innova parked at Blue Wave in Pasay City, and took her valuables.
Morado is asset security group manager of the Union Bank of the Philippines.
Aside from the Bible, the burglars also made off with a cell phone and bank passbooks placed inside the Innova, Morado told police.
Ironically, the theft occurred two days before devotees were to proceed to Manila to take part in the Feast of the Black Nazarene. Police estimate three million might be attending the event. - LBG/RSJ, GMANews.TV
