Another QC cop shot dead, the fourth in 2 months

Cop-killing appears to be a growing trend in Quezon City as another policeman – the fourth in the past two months – was shot dead by a still unidentified gunman in Novaliches district on Wednesday. A radio report quoted police authorities identifying the victim as a certain PO2 Dennis Tadea assigned to Station 3 of the Quezon City Police District. The reports said the policeman was in civilian clothing, visiting someone in Sitio Paco Mendez near the Quezon City General Hospital, when the assailant shot him at least twice in the head. The victim's gun was already missing when authorities arrived and was believed to have been carted away by his attacker. Last November 16, two policemen were killed while a third one was seriously wounded in a pursuit that ended in a shootout along along Tandang Sora Avenue, also in Quezon City.
