The Brussels-based International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) has labeled the Philippines as the most dangerous place for journalists following last November's massacre of 57 people in Maguindanao province, of which 31 are journalists. The journalists were covering the filing of documents for the gubernatorial bid of Buluan vice mayor Ismael "Toto" Mangudadatu when waylaid by men believed to be upon orders from Datu Unsay mayor Andal Ampatuan Jr. The Ampatuans and the Mangudadatus are political rivals. - with Aie Balagtas See/KBK, GMANews.TV
