Korean nabbed in RP for what's inside his underwear

Airport authorities on Thursday arrested a Korean national who was about to leave the country for alleged illegal drug possession. Seongphil Hong was arrested at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 (NAIA-1) after a security check revealed that he was carrying 270 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu in his underwear. Seongphil Hong was about to board Aseana Airlines flight OZ-716 when arrested, according to reports reaching the office of Gen. Angel Atutubo, assistant general manager for security and emergency services of NAIA. The illegal drug was discovered by NAIA security employee Francisco Ople after frisking the Korean at the departure area of NAIA-1. Body frisking is an standard operating procedure (SOP) for departing passengers. Airport authorities have already informed the Korean Embassy in the Philippines about the case. - KBK, GMANews.TV
