Glass ceiling of SM North Edsa's The Block collapses; 2 hurt

(UPDATE 2 - 6:18 pm) Two unidentified men were hurt after a portion of the glass ceiling of the SM North Edsa mall's The Block collapsed past 2 p.m. on Friday. Millie F. Dizon, vice president for SM Inc's marketing communications group, said the victims, who were immediately brought to a clinic inside the mall, only suffered minor injuries. "A small portion of the skylight broke. Since this is tempered glass, it shattered in pieces just like a windshield, so the impact lessened. Two had minor injuries and we attended to their medical needs," Dizon said in a statement sent to media. She said the management of the Quezon City shopping mall would immediately repair the portion of the ceiling, "which is actually a small area."
