Magnitude-5.2 quake rocks Mindanao - Phivolcs


A magnitude-5.2 quake rocked parts of Mindanao Friday night, even as state seismologists warned of possible aftershocks. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the quake struck at 8:15 p.m. and was tectonic in origin. Phivolcs traced the epicenter of the quake to 128 kilometers southeast of Mati, Davao Oriental. It said the quake was felt at Intensity III in Davao City and Intensity II in General Santos City and in Marbel, South Cotabato. While no damage to property was expected from the quake, Phivolcs warned of possible aftershocks. - GMANews.TV
