From containing religious views, a Philippine Catholic bishopâs old Web log (blog) site is now featuring ads seeking âwebcam models" and invitations searching âadult friends." Visitors to Cagayan de Oro Archbishop Antonio Ledesmaâs old blog site were greeted with the racy ads, along with links to supposedly âpopular" sites to visit. At the top and bottom parts of the blog site were âHelp wanted" ads for a âLive Webcam Model," with an offer of âhundreds of dollars a day." The ad featured an image of a woman in a suggestive pose.

On the left side was an ad for AdultFriendFinder, which described itself as the âworldâs largest adult social network and sex personals." âMeet sexy singles ... join for free!" the AdultFriendFinder ad said. The old blog, which was renamed âBishop Le Desma," also contained a list of suggested âpopular" sites claiming to feature political humor, dating sites and secret games. On the other hand, Ledesmaâs blog entries were transferred to his
new blog site, with the oldest entries being dated December 2005. It was not immediately clear why the account for the old blog site was not terminated. The Catholic Bishopsâ Conference of the Philippines media office maintains the new blog site. Since last December, at least four government websites had been hacked, including those of the Department of Labor and Employment, the Department of Health, Department of Social Welfare and Development, and National Disaster Coordinating Council.
