3 hurt as old Parañaque house collapses


At least three people were rushed to a hospital after they were trapped in a two-story home that collapsed in Parañaque City before dawn Tuesday. Radio dzBB reported the incident occurred at 5:03 a.m. at the old building along Quirino Avenue in Dongalo village. The report cited claims by local residents the house was already aged and had been weakened by a fire that razed it some time ago. A separate report on dzXL radio identified the injured as Carlo de Jesus, Ryan de Jesus, and Carmen de Jesus. The three were rushed to the Parañaque Community Hospital and the San Juan de Dios Hospital.

Joey Gabriel, head of the Parañaque police's radio room operations, told GMA News' Unang Hirit that different rescue teams went to the De Jesus' ancestral home to haul the three victims from the debris.- RSJ, GMANews.TV
