Blast kills farmer in Isabela province

An explosion of still unknown origin killed on Monday a farmer in Aurora town’s Villa Fugu village in Isabela province. According to Chief Superintendent Roberto Damian, Region II police director, the victim who was identified as Rolly Galicia, 38, was installing a water pump in a tobacco field when the blast occurred. Police are still investigating reports that the cause of Galicia’s death may be a grenade explosion due to the presence of shrapnel wounds in his body.
