Aquinos clash with Fantastic Four on Family Feud

The Aquino clan – as represented by Pinky Aquino-Abellada and Ballsy Aquino-Cruz, and their sons Jiggy Aquino Cruz and Miguel Abellada – appeared on GMA-7’s Family Feud alongside the Honor Guards who served during former president Corazon Aquino’s funeral. The four’s exemplary performance during the cortege had earned them the nickname, “Fantastic Four." Petty Officer 3 Edgardo Rodriguez, Private First Class Antonio Cadiente, Airman 2nd Class Gener Laguindam, and Seaman 1st Class Gilbert Atienza faced off against the Aquinos in the primetime game show. Atienza stood in for Police Officer 1 Danilo Malab Jr., who was assigned to a post outside Manila. Kris Aquino-Yap was in the studio to cheer on the Aquinos. “I really wanted to play but I was not allowed. But you're doing such a wonderful job," Kris told host Dingdong Dantes, whom she also called the “most good-looking game show host." Aquino-Yap added that her family's appearance on the show was their way of thanking Dantes, one of the staunch supporters of her brother Senator Benigno “Noynoy" Aquino III, who is running for president in the upcoming May elections.
The Aquinos won in the first and third rounds, but the Fantastic Four gained more points in the second and fourth rounds. Thus, they advanced to the jackpot round and took home the P150,000 jackpot prize. – Fidel Jimenez/FVI, GMANews.TV
