Army troops clash with NPA in Compostela; 2 rebels killed

Two rebels were killed when a Philippine Army team under a Lt. de Jesus encountered New People's Army (NPA) rebels in Laak town, Compostela Valley at about 4:45 p.m. Saturday, according to initial reports.
In the encounter, two other rebels were wounded. Army troops recovered two M16 rifles and an M14 rifle from the scene of the encounter. No casualties were reported on the government side. -
