Army troops clash with NPA in Compostela; 2 rebels killed

Two rebels were killed when a Philippine Army team under a Lt. de Jesus encountered New People's Army (NPA) rebels in Laak town, Compostela Valley at about 4:45 p.m. Saturday, according to initial reports. In the encounter, two other rebels were wounded. Army troops recovered two M16 rifles and an M14 rifle from the scene of the encounter.
