Fire razes 20 houses in Quezon City – report

Fire razed at least 20 houses in Quezon City on Sunday, but no one was hurt in the incident, a radio report said. Radio dzBB’s Allan Gatus quoted Superintendent Romeo Rillo of the Quezon City Fire Department as saying that the fire started at the house of a certain Terry Velasco. Velasco’s home was located in the Baluyut Compound along Nawasa Road in Barangay (village) Sauyo in Novaliches. According to the report, the fire reached the third alarm and was placed under control at noon, leaving damage to property estimated at P1 million.
