Century Properties launching nine-building project in Parañaque

Century Properties finished off 2009 with an early project turnover, an overseas campaign and on-schedule project constructions despite the slowing globally economy, the company said on Wednesday. John Victor R. Antonio, chief operating officer of the realty developer, also expressed optimism for the property industry this year as the company launches its biggest residential projects, and the on-track construction of Century City in Makati. "We are launching a nine-building project at an estimated cost of P6 billion called Azure Urban Resort Residences in Parañaque City under Century Limitless, a new brand category of Century Properties that will develop affordable yet high-quality residential projects," Antonio said in a statement. Azure, a joint-venture between Century Properties of Jose E.B. Antonio and the Columbian Group of Companies headed by Jose C.H. Alvarez, will be the newest project in the booming South Luzon Expressway corridor, rising on a six-hectare property in the village of Marcelo Green in Parañaque, right beside SM Bicutan and accessible via the Bicutan exit. Another highlight for Century is the construction of its two residential buildings at Century City in Kalayaan Avenue, Makati. The first tower, Gramercy Residences, is already on the 23rd floor of construction, while concrete pouring has started at the second tower, Knightsbridge Residences. The company also cited the early turnover of Century’s 886-unit residential condominium in Mandaluyong called Soho Central, a joint venture project with Greenfield Development Corp. Delivered in June 2009, Soho Central opened for the occupancy of its residents six and 18 months ahead of the scheduled delivery dates for the first and second towers, respectively. Grand Soho Makati, Century’s joint venture project with United Coconut Planters Bank in Salcedo Village, Makati is also on track for its June turnover, Antonio said. Meanwhile, road shows abroad had contributed to the firm’s high-reservation sales despite the global financial crunch. Century has a presence in five key regions abroad. "We remain optimistic especially in these times when the market is showing signs of appreciation for real estate as a good asset to have. In addition, purchasing homes has never been more convenient for buyers with all types of home financing available," Antonio said. — GMANews.TV
