Report: 2 killed, 2 missing in predawn fire in Cebu

At least two people were killed while two were reported missing in a fire that hit a residential area in Cebu City before dawn Thursday. Radio dzBB reported the fire razed a row of apartments along Don Pedro Rodriguez Street in Cebu City at about 3 a.m. A separate report on dzXL said firefighters could not immediately identify the two fatalities in the fire that caused around P3 million worth of damage to property. But neighbors were reported as saying that three of those missing included Rolando Caberte, helper Alma Concepcion, and Caberte's grandson. Initial investigation showed the fire started at an apartment where Caberte was staying. The Cabertes were reportedly trapped after debris fell on them before they could get out of their house. - LBG, GMANews.TV
