Jamby Madrigal answers top 10 questions from Pinoys on Examine

Presidential hopeful Sen. Jamby Madrigal believes that running as an independent candidate or being a vegetarian will not keep her from winning the highest seat in the country. She voiced out these opinions in her interview with Examine, one of GMANews.TV’s pioneering web shows for Eleksyon 2010, last December 17, 2009. “When I ran in 2007, they said ‘Jamby, you can’t win because you’re vegetarian.’ That’s just because I’m not trapo in the sense [that] I won’t eat a lechon in every house that I visited. That doesn’t mean I can’t win," she said.

In the interview by Howie Severino, Madrigal talked about her image as a “mudslinger" in the Senate and said her choices in the Senate were based on personal conviction rather than convenience. “I have never attacked on personalities… so if this is mudslinging, it is mudslinging of an issue-based kind," she said. She was also asked to name one positive thing about staunch rival Sen. Manny Villar. Want to find out what she said? Click here to watch Examine with Sen. Jamby Madrigal.
