Police arrest alleged baby kidnapper in Manila

A six-month-old baby was rescued, while an alleged member of a syndicate linked to the sale of abducted infants was arrested in Manila following a sting operation over the weekend. Cristina dela Cruz, 42, was arrested following an entrapment operation after receiving P1,000 in marked money from an undercover operative, dzXL radio reported. Police also rescued a six-month-old baby whom dela Cruz allegedly kidnapped in a mall in Manila. Investigation showed that the police, acting on a tip, arranged to buy the child from dela Cruz in front of the Sta. Cruz Church. Dela Cruz may face charges of kidnapping. — NPA, GMANews.TV
