Pregnant woman survives croc attack in Isabela province


A 24-year-old pregnant woman survived a crocodile attack in the northern Philippine province of Isabela over the weekend, escaping with injuries that required at least 20 stitches. Radio dzBB reported early Monday that Glenda Aribay, 24, managed to run from the crocodile when it first bit her in the leg, but it followed and bit her a second time. The incident occurred near a creek in Cadsalan in San Mariano town, near a crocodile breeding farm of the Mabuwaya Foundation. The dzBB report said Aribay sustained wounds that required at least 20 stitches. She was rushed to a local community hospital where she underwent first aid for three hours.
