Report: 1 killed, 1 hurt in Bulacan bus accident

A 78-year-old pedestrian was reported killed while a tricycle driver was injured after a bus went out of control in Bulacan province, a radio report said Monday. Radio dzXL reported the incident occurred in Barangay Poblacion in Baliuag town, when the passenger bus suddenly lurched forward and hit the victims. Sketchy initial reports identified the fatality as one Alberto Mentin. Tricycle driver Leyman, 52, was injured and rushed to a nearby hospital. Initial investigation showed bus driver Adrian Cababa had just started the engine of the Baliwag Transit bus near its terminal when the bus lurched forward and hit the victims. - RSJ, GMANews.TV
