Fire razes 100 houses in Cebu City - report

At least 100 houses were destroyed while P1 million in property went up in smoke in a 40-minute fire that razed a residential area in Cebu City Tuesday afternoon. Radio dzBB's Cebu affiliate reported early Wednesday that no one was initially reported hurt in the fire at the interior of Sitio Tambisan in Tisa village. Firefighters had a hard time battling the blaze because of the narrow passageways in the area. Arson investigators are looking into the possibility that a short circuit stemming from an illegal electrical connection in the neighborhood may have caused the fire. - RSJ, GMANews.TV
