Bomb scare grips Manila court; employees evacuated

(Updated 8:54 p.m.) Tension gripped a Manila court on Tuesday after the tribunal reportedly received a bomb threat from an unknown caller, but bomb experts later declared the bomb scare as a dud. A court staff of the Manila Metropolitan Trial Court Branch 22 received a phone call from an unidentified man telling her to leave the court premises as a bomb was set to explode anytime. Employees from the tribunal had to be evacuated as operatives from the Manila Police District (MPD)'s Explosives and Ordinance Division searched the area for any explosive. No bombs were found in the court premises after the search, according to the MPD operatives. - Aie Balagtas See/ARCS/FVI/ACC, GMANews.TV
