Early morning fire snarls traffic in Divisoria

A fire that hit a commercial building snarled traffic in Manila's busy Divisoria district early Thursday morning. Radio dzBB's Lito Laparan said no one was reported hurt in the fire that hit the building at the corner of Elcano Street and C.M. Recto Avenue. The fire hit the sixth floor of the Mario Realty Building in Divisoria, reaching Task Force Alpha and snarling traffic in the area.

But firefighters managed to put it out past 7 a.m. after using new ladders and snorkels. As of posting time, authorities were still determining the cause of the fire. - RSJ, GMANews.TV
