Graduating La Salle student dies in Antipolo shooting incident

A graduating student of the La Salle College in Antipolo City in Rizal province was killed on Thursday night after he was shot by still unidentified men who rode a motorcycle, police said on Friday. Senior Superintendent Jonathan Ferdinand Miano, chief of the Rizal Provincial Police, told GMA News that Pete Gerardo Ocampo, 18, was found wounded in Taytay, Rizal, but died before he was brought to a hospital.

Miano said Ocampo was last seen riding a motorcycle with his companion, Miguel Maglanoc, at 10:45 p.m. Thursday. They were being chased by two unidentified men who were firing gunshots while riding another motorcycle, the police official added. Police tried to pursue the assailants, but eventually lost them, according to Miano. Miano said they have yet to determine the motive for the killing. — Andreo Calonzo/RSJ, GMANews.TV
